Recently I spoke with a local bee keeper who filled me with enthusiasm for the art of keeping bees. It sounds like a really interesting hobby and certainly a really valuable one considering the drop in the number of bees within Britain. It occurred to me that one way of boosting our bee numbers would be to encourage bee keeping in the suburbs and cities. It would seem someone has already thought of how it could be done. I wonder what apiculturists make of the yellow plastic box? MW
